Greek Night  
Since this is probably the last week of really warm weather, I'm having one last Greek dips dinner. This time, I did a lot of the prep work earlier so I only have to do the making and blending later on. House smells of grilled eggplant and garlic currently. And the eggplants came from the garden, the first and last crop of them. But six is better than none, right? I'm making Baba Ganoush, Skordalia, Hummus (regular and curry), and Tazitki.

Nin works till 10pm tonight, so we'll see if any wrting gets accomplished after I make and eat dinner.

I might be able to make, but the real trick will be grabbing that earliest flight back to make it to work on time tomorrow. ;)

My mouth is watering just reading thid. I am crazy about
garlic, onions, and eggplant when it is grilled or prepared in the manner my sister prepares it.....she puts a bit of mayo on each side and then dips it in forget what and pops into the oven

I should have sent you some eggplant. I got several of the "Fairy Tale" one -- they're only 6 or so inches long, but are they ever prolific. Everytime I turned around, there were more eggplants. Perfect for grilling, and I think a bit less tart than a purple beauty.
