Ask Me
So you probably know by now that I'm rather fond of Methos, cheese, Jack Sparrow, and red wine -- though not necessarily in that order [g]

But if you have some other burning question you've always wanted to ask here's your chance. I won't promise I'll answer if it's too TMI, but I'll do my best to assuage your curiosity otherwise.

(decided to squish together all the interview/tell me about your user name/how did you meet me memes into one handy form) (and it's Friday and I could use the distraction)

kimurho: Credendo Videskimuro on March 2nd, 2007 06:43 pm (UTC)
1. What order then?
2. Which would you rather hang out with, Cap'n. Jack or Methos or Adam Pierson?
3. Which (of the three, if any of them) would you rather shag?
Ith: Holby - Amusedithildyn on March 2nd, 2007 07:05 pm (UTC)
LOL! I might have to put the red wine and cheese before even Methos [g]

I think it would be fun to hang out with Jack. And as for your last question, I will at least say I'd let Methos buy me a drink [g]

are you aware of how disturbingly and distractingly sensual that icon is?

It's almost obscene!

Which one? I can't tell from the way LJ puts the comments in the thread :)

the geisha taking the bite of food from the chopsticks.

Ah, yes, one of my faves. Was my default icon for quite a while. I love lip photos :)

How did you get your user name?

You seem to be a foodie, yet stay slim, how do you do that?

I know you don't care for slash, have you ever read any, just out of curiosity?

Are you planning on going to either Philly or Vancouver cons?
Ith: What's Left - Ithildinithildyn on March 2nd, 2007 09:20 pm (UTC)
LJ will not let me post this frickin' comment! So I'm going to break it into 2 parts in case it's the size...

You are feeling energetic, huh?

My "real" online nickname is Ithildin -- is why everyone calls me 'Ith'. That's from Lord of the Rings and is Elvish. When I got an LJ, due to the popularity if the movies, Ithildin was already taken, and I don't like nicks with numbers on them, so I needed to think of a new one. Ithidrial was an Elvish name I'd created for something once upon a time, and it had the all important 'Ith' component, so I ended up using it, not thinking it would matter much since I was only going to use the account to comment with -- we all see how well that worked out!

I'm not a snacker, I try really hard not to eat processed pre-made food, or to at least have it not be the majority of what I eat, I eat alot of dairy and drink red wine, which I've been reading lately aids weight loss apparently. Who knew? No soda (very rarely), cus carbonated beverages play havoc with your digestion's ability to absorb nutrients, I read labels and try to avoid corn syrup which is an evil ingredient in so much of our food. I was on a supplement program and it shed the pounds, but I've been lazy and haven't been as good on that front, though I do take 9 grams of EFAs every day, which control my asthma, amongst other beneficial things, and I take selenium. Now which of those is the trick, I have no idea. I've never really had a plan. And last but not least, genetics. I have a very small bone structure and I inherited my great-aunt Edith's build. It definitely helps.

Part Two
Slash, yes. In fact, I helped put a slash zine together back in the late seventies! I'm still old school, and tend to think of slash as one whole thing, not slash and femslash, and I do really like f/f, always have. Most recently I read a fic that was Methos and an OMC, and it was great, but then at the end, totally unexpectedly, it became D/M, and I pouted muchly [g] It's more parings I don't like than anything.

Vancouver, no. Way too much money for what they offer, IMHO of course. If I had that sort of cash, I'd go to WorldCon in Yokohama this year. But it would be nice to see friends. Philly, oh how I wish! But I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford it, so I'm priming myself to be horribly disappointed :)

Now the essay is done!

Okay, it is Friday, I'm bored and this is an interesting distraction. So my questions are:

1. Favorite gifts - jewelery? electronics? clothes? cash? or other?

2. Favorite vacation you have taken?

3. Your dream vacation?

4. Your guiltiest pleasure?

5. Person who annoys you the most - beside me that is :)

1. Favorite gifts - jewelery? electronics? clothes? cash? or other?

All of the above.

2. Favorite vacation you have taken?

My third trip to Scotland with my brother. He was a much better traveling companion than my psycho ex friend was.

3. Your dream vacation?

Japan, or a South Pacific cruise.

4. Your guiltiest pleasure?

I rarely feel guilty about my pleasures.

5. Person who annoys you the most - beside me that is :)

:P Currently, it would be someone work related which I probably shouldn't elaborate on since this isn't a locked post [g]

"Japan, or a South Pacific cruise. "

Hadn't ever thought of a South Pacific Cruise. sounds fun. Could we make it stop in Australia too?

"I rarely feel guilty about my pleasures. "

Ah, an area in which we differ. I always feel guilty. Must be that Catholic upbringing thing. Although in turth I don't engage in enough activities to be guilty about. Have to work on that. Although I will probably wait until lent is over.

Ith: Art - Callanishithildyn on March 2nd, 2007 09:46 pm (UTC)
I want to take one of small cruise ship cruises with all the cabins having decks and such. Would be heaven.

In general, I figure life is too hard and too short to feel guilty over things that make you happy. Plus, my father and his fmaily made you feel like a pathetic weakling for even sleeping in, or heaven forbid being sick. Small, petty, bitter people. So I've worked hard to throw off the remnants of that mind set. Don't always suceed, but I try.

I'm a woman who shares her favours [g] My favourite type of wine generally are Zinfandels. YUM!! and I love smelly cheeses, a fave is Taglio, and I love Stilton, and a good sharp English cheddar.

Excellent! I'm a cabernet girl myself, but I do love a good sharp English cheddar. :)

I'd invest it, buy a few lodges, some real estate, and once my money was making money, I'd finally go to college and I'd travel, and support some sort of literacy organization, especially for women in countries where girls aren't educated the same as boys, or educated at all.
