Finally, one of my favourite series is showing up on DVD. I was heartbroken when Christy was canceled to make room for Touched By An Angel -- apparently, CBS thought there was only room for one 'family' series on their schedule, and for some reason I still don't understand, picked the other one. No, I'm not still bitter. Bleah!

Anyway, I loved the book as a teenager, and Dr. Neil MacNeil (perfectly portrayed by Stewart Finlay-McLennan) continued my love affair for snarky men with lovely accents [g]

I can not wait to be able to watch it all over again. I had some episodes on VHS off the TV, but those have long since died.

I remember that show! At the time I utterly adored the main actress, and yes, the book was love.

Yes, Kelli Martin! She went to Christy after 'Life Goes On'. Excellent actress, and Tyne Daly, of course. She won an Emmy for the role. And the fact they actually filmed locations in the Blue Ridge Mountians made for a great looking show.

Completely off topic, but I was wondering how you got your tags listed on the side of your journal. Is it a particular layout that has that option?

It didn't initially have the option -- the tag cloud -- but it was added as an option a few months ago. I don't know which themes support it, but more do now than did a bit ago.

It was under custom options/sidebar under the Display of tags in the sidebar drop down menu.

I'm not Christian and I liked that series. And oh, so totally agree on Dr. MacNeil.
