Japan - Autumn Leaves Geisha

Our kitchen drain backed up about 1030 last night, and I figured it was too late to call the landlord. So I call this morning, she already knew cus the person upstairs did call last night, and they won't do anything about till tomorrow! I can deal with having to use the bathroom sink, but the smell is just gagging in here. I have the sink covered with a cooler top and a blanket, but it's only partially successful.

So Nin had to go to work today -- and a long shift at that, till 10pm --, and I'm sitting all alone in a smelly house, and I can't even cook. [sigh]

Since I got the paid account, I decided to take the rest of the art I'd collected when I was trying to come up with my default one, and turn them into icons too. So that's why all the new pretty pictures. They're almost all Japanese, except for two or three. The one on this post is my all time favourite Froud. I actually own a print of it. It's my 'fantasy me' Heh. I've used it as a pic for me for years and years in various online venues.

If I Weren't Depressed Already

I just listened to 'Sweet Dublin Bay' by Silly Wizard three five times in a row.

Though, I do have an amusing story about the song. We went sailing on the Lady Washington a few months back, and the crew were singing sea shanties. I said to Nin that I probably shouldn't sing the only oceangoing song I know by heart! It's very sad, but it's one of my favourites. I have a Celtic disposition when it comes to music. I love it either really sad, or really happy.

The lyrics are behind the curtain.

One of the things I'm having the most trouble with in this story is that it's the first time I've had to deal with the character from whose POV the story is being told, being the only one to know Methos as Methos. So when they're in a group situation, where everyone else knows him as Adam, I'm always torn as to how to refer to him.

Does that make any sort of sense?
