'Prove It'
A lunch hour drabble. If you're bored too, feel free to make it a drabble round robin.

“This seat taken?”

“I assume it is now.”

“I suppose it is at that.” He slid onto the empty barstool. “May I join you?”

Deliberately picking up her glass and draining what was left of its contents, she replied, “No.” Setting it down, she reached for her purse.

“You could let me buy you another.”

“That’s one option, I suppose.”

“And the other?”

“You could go bother some other poor woman.”

“But I like bothering you.”

“My lucky day.”

He smirked. “It could be.”

“Does this shtick of yours actually work?”

“It has been known to on occasion.”

“Prove it.”

The End?

Ah-ha! Now who is the guy and who is the girl? Sounds like Methos to me - but the lady? Sure isn't me because I'd let him buy me a drink in a heartbeat. *g*

As for letting him buy you a drink, you and me both [g]
