A Bit of the Wedding

Since it was a work day, there was no way I could watch the wedding live, so I recorded it. I did watch a clip of the vows before I went to work though.  Thought the dress was absolutely lovely and the happy couple seemed to be very much in love.

I was 18 when Charles & Diana were married and the friend I was spending the summer with and I got up at 3am to watch.  I feel old now.  :)

I saw a clip of the vows, and it made me tear up a little when William said his to her. I wasn't even born when Diana and Charles got married, but my Mom said she remembered it. I remember watching Diana's funeral, though.

I hope their marriage goes better than Diana and Charles'.

I hope it is as well. I met Diana during a walkabout in Victoria. She really was stunning and had a beautiful smile.

Oh wow! She seemed like she was a very lovely person.

I was pregnant with my son the same time Diana was with Harry. I remember the media being all sympathetic because she had morning sickness. So did I. Big whoop!

I had a friend who got up at 5:00am to watch Charles & Diana's wedding. I could not possibly have cared less.

I was posting about something that brought me joy and is a very fond memory.

I saw the "I feel old now" tag seemed to have focused on that. There are days I feel very old. This appears to be one of them.

Maybe because I was younger - It just seemed to be more magical stuff with Charles and DI. I haven't really gotten caught up in it this time around

Ditto. I really loved watching Diana and Charles' wedding, but not as excited about this one. I did catch much of it on tv while at work. She looked stunning and I hope they have a happier marriage than William's parents.

She did look beautiful but Di looked more like a fairy tale. I think they really are in love unlike the arranged situation with Charles and Di
