Many Last Sin Eater Reviews
A whole bunch of them below the cut:

New York Times, Thu, 08 Feb 2007 10:23 PM PST
Sins Devoured, Hope Restored
?The Last Sin Eater? is religious art for mainstream consumption.

Orlando Sentinel, Fri, 09 Feb 2007 1:29 AM PST
Fox Faith shows promise, but 'Sin Eater' stumbles
It was a smart business move for 20th Century Fox to create Fox Faith,
its division for movies with religious themes and subject matter.
There's a big audience out there for that sort of film, as Mel Gibson and
various Mormon film productions have shown.

The Charlotte Observer, Fri, 09 Feb 2007 0:10 AM PST
`Sin Eater' no more than a theological snack
"The Last Sin Eater" is actually about the first sin-eater, who died on
the cross to relieve us all of spiritual burdens -- if you approach
things from a Christian viewpoint, which distributor Fox Faith assuredly
does.

Lexington Herald-Leader, Fri, 09 Feb 2007 0:10 AM PST
'Last Sin Eater' a poor example of faith-based film
Film Review 'The Last Sin Eater' 1/2 PG (for adult themes). 102
minutes. 118 min. Lexington Green, Nicholasville, Woodhill. Good intentions
don't always translate into a good movie.

The different lengths are interesting. Time Out NY had 141 minutes.

The reviews are not all that promising. However, when they mention Peter it is always positive.

And, not surprisingly, it is not playing in MA, RI, or CT.

It is playing right here in Spartanburg, SC. Though I have no intentions of going, not even for Petey.

Agenda movies can be a bit trying. But, if it were playing nearby I would go. With the right expectations set about what the movie is trying to do I am sure it will be watchable.
