That's It?!
We finally finished Deadwood, but we dind't know we were finishing it, and now I need to wrap my brain around it. Here's the deal: there was a disc 6 left, plus one with bonus features, so we watch disc 5 with the belief there's a few more episodes before the end. Except, there wasn't. Put in disc 6 and it's bonus stuff as well. So now we realize we just saw the end, not knowing it was. Does that make any sense at all? Must ponder now. Not sure I'm liking how it all ended at this point.

Oh, shit, I'm sorry. The end of Deadwood is so much suckitude. You know the story of what happened? That HBO said they were renewed, and then after they filmed the end of S3, pulled the rug out from under them? Yeah. Ugh.

No, I didn't know that - so that makes it all make more sense. Because I'm feeling really disgruntled right now :)

Yeah, I always tell people watching it to stop at "A Constant Throb." The ending is just... badness. All around.

We went in totally innocent and unspoiled.

I never bought Deadwood S3 on DVD, and I won't. It really made me a crazy person. I still can't believe the HBO shenanigans, and I'll never trust them again.

I got the entire series box set on super clearance at Amazon last year. Oh well.

Unfortunately HBO cancelled Deadwood before they could finish the story. I try to ignore the final episode because it makes me so upset.

It really was a bad ending.
